Quotes, Estimates & Pricing
We offer free estimates for painting and restoration projects. All estimates are:
• Based on the information available at the time of inspection
• Provided in good faith
• Subject to change if project conditions differ or additional work is requested
If unexpected issues arise (such as hidden surface damage, structural concerns, mold, water damage, or necessary repairs), we will inform you as soon as possible and provide an updated quote.
Estimates do not include taxes unless specified.
Scheduling & Work Conditions
We aim to complete all projects on schedule, but timelines may shift due to:
• Weather conditions
• Material availability
• Project complexity
• Access or site restrictions
• Customer-requested changes
Customers agree to provide reasonable access to the property, including electricity, water, and clear work areas unless otherwise arranged.
Customer Responsibilities
By hiring us, you agree to:
• Remove or secure personal belongings from work areas
• Inform us of any known issues with surfaces, walls, or previous coatings
• Keep children and pets clear of active workspaces
• Review and approve colours prior to painting
• Communicate any concerns promptly during the project
We are not responsible for damage to items left in work areas or for delays caused by lack of access.
Paint Colour & Material Selection
Final colour selection is the customer’s responsibility. We can offer guidance, but variations may occur due to lighting, surface conditions, or other factors. Once a colour is approved and materials are ordered or applied, any changes may result in additional charges.
All materials and products used will meet industry standards unless otherwise specified.
Satisfaction, Touch-Ups & Completion
We stand behind the quality of our work and will address reasonable touch-ups at project completion. Touch-ups requested after the final walkthrough may be considered additional work depending on the nature of the request.
Normal settling, minor wear, or damage caused after project completion is not covered.
Payments, Deposits & Invoicing
A deposit may be required to secure project scheduling or to purchase materials. Payment terms will be outlined on your estimate or invoice. Unless otherwise stated:
• Invoices are due upon completion
• Late payments may be subject to fees
• Materials purchased on behalf of the customer remain the property of Impressions Painting Victoria until paid in full
Failure to pay for services may result in collection actions as permitted by BC law.
Limitations of Liability
Impressions Painting Victoria is not liable for:
• Damage caused by existing structural issues, water intrusion, mold, or failing surfaces
• Pre-existing imperfections or defects that become visible after painting
• Delays caused by weather, natural events, or conditions beyond our control
• Loss of use, loss of revenue, or indirect damages
Our liability is limited to the cost of services actually provided.
Warranties
We stand behind the craftsmanship of our work. Warranty details may vary depending on the type of project and will be discussed with you during your estimate. Warranties do not cover:
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or future construction
• Moisture issues, leaks, or structural movement
• Customer-applied products after project completion
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your project, please notify us as soon as possible. Deposits may be non-refundable if materials have already been purchased or if significant scheduling time has been reserved.
Third-Party Services
We may work with subcontractors or vendors to complete certain parts of a project. These contractors are expected to meet our quality standards, but they operate independently. We are not responsible for the actions of third parties outside the scope of our work agreement.
